David Vignes

President of Remarketing Services

David Vignes is president of Remarketing Services for KAR Auction Services, Inc.

As president of this business segment, Vignes oversees KAR’s remarketing services, which aligns the company’s AutoVIN, KAR Reconditioning, AuctionTrac, High Tech Locksmiths, and PAR North America businesses, to enhance value across all business units. This includes identifying and standardizing best practices to improve safety and reduce risk, as well as leveraging technologies, systems and procedures across all business units. He also leads KAR’s enterprise safety and security efforts. 

Vignes joined ADESA in 2007 as senior vice president of operations and strategic improvement. He was quickly promoted to executive vice president of strategic improvement and logistics in 2008, and then executive vice president, Enterprise Optimization, for KAR Auction Services in 2009. Vignes was promoted to his current role in 2017.

Previously, Vignes served as senior vice president for a master planning and development firm. He also spent more than 15 years, both in Europe and the United States, with The Walt Disney Corporation. During this time, he held several executive positions in finance and operations with Disneyland Paris, Walt Disney World Orlando and the Disney Cruise Line.

Vignes has more than 20 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, enhancing operations, focusing on cost management and optimizing customer values. In 2012, he was nominated director to the board of DRAYER Physical Therapy Institute, and in 2018 he was appointed Advisor to the Board of CityMD, a company owned by Warburg Pincus. Vignes holds a master’s degree from the Conservatoire National des Arts et Metiers in Paris, France, and an MBA from the University of Florida. He is also a former lieutenant in France’s Air Force.
