KAR Auction Services Promotes Warren Byrd to EVP of Corporate Development and Real Estate

Carmel, IN—KAR Auction Services, Inc., a leading provider of vehicle and salvage auction services in North America, today announced the promotion of Warren Byrd to the position of executive vice president of corporate development and real estate, effective June 1. Byrd will report directly to KAR Auction Services CEO Jim Hallett.

“Warren has been instrumental in the growth and success of ADESA, and the entire KAR family of companies will now benefit from his unique skill set and vast experience,” said Hallett.

Byrd has served in a variety of roles within the KAR family of companies. In 1994, he joined ADESA as the company’s legal counsel. In 1999, he became vice president of corporate development. In 2001, Byrd was promoted to senior vice president of information services. Then, in 2002, he assumed the position of president of ADESA Impact, a salvage auction subsidiary he helped to acquire. Byrd most recently served as the executive vice president of corporate development for ADESA, a position he has held since 2007.

Byrd holds a J.D. degree from the University of Notre Dame Law School and a bachelor’s degree in business from Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio.
