Becca Polak

Becca Polak is chief legal officer and secretary of KAR Auction Services, Inc. and president of TradeRev.

As chief legal officer, Polak oversees strategic legal and business planning, the handling of litigation, mergers and acquisitions, as well as corporate communications. As president of TradeRev, Polak focuses on diversifying TradeRev’s product and service offerings while accelerating its growth across North America and around the globe. Prior to assuming this role, Polak served as executive liaison between TradeRev and KAR.

Over the course of her career, Polak has worked on more than 30 acquisitions valued at more than $1 billion. She joined the company in 2005 as associate general counsel and was promoted in 2007 to executive vice president, general counsel and secretary of KAR. Previously, she served as a senior associate at Krieg DeVault in Indianapolis, where she practiced corporate and securities law. From 1995 to 1999, Polak was an associate at Haynes and Boone in Dallas, specializing in securities law, mergers and acquisitions.

In 2017, Polak was elected to AAA Hoosier Motor Club’s Board of Directors. She was also named to Auto Remarketing’s 2015 Women in Remarketing, and was recognized by the Indianapolis Business Journal as a 2014 Woman of Influence. Previously, Polak was named a “rising star” in the Indiana Super Lawyers magazine, and was recognized by the Indianapolis Business Journal as a Who’s Who in the financial industry for counseling public company clients in securities law.

Polak holds a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University. She earned her doctorate of jurisprudence from Southern Methodist University in Dallas with Cum Laude honors. She and her husband, Jonathan Polak, reside in Indianapolis with their three children.
