Becca Polak

Becca Polak is executive vice president, general counsel and secretary of KAR Auction Services, Inc.

In this role, Polak oversees strategic, legal and business planning and the handling of litigation, mergers, acquisitions and general corporate matters. Polak also oversees the company’s corporate communications and is the executive sponsor of TradeRev, a joint venture owned by the company.

Polak joined the company in 2005 as associate general counsel and was promoted in 2007 to her current position. Previously, she served as a senior associate at Krieg DeVault in Indianapolis, where she practiced corporate and securities law. From 1995 to 1999, Polak was an associate at Haynes and Boone in Dallas, specializing in securities law, mergers and acquisitions.

Polak was named to Auto Remarketing’s 2015 Women in Remarketing, and was recognized by the Indianapolis Business Journal as a 2014 Woman of Influence. Previously, Polak was named a “rising star” in the Indiana Super Lawyers magazine, and was recognized by the Indianapolis Business Journal as a Who’s Who in the financial industry for counseling public company clients in securities law.

Polak holds a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University. She earned her doctorate of jurisprudence from Southern Methodist University in Dallas with Cum Laude honors.
